Middle Ground Fall Event

Spike Sprague grew up in Havelock, NB. Upon graduation, he could not wait to leave the Maritimes. He left for Saskatchewan and earned a Bachelor of Arts in music from Briercrest College. Soon afterwards, he changed directions and joined the Canadian Armed Forces where he served as an Aerospace Control Officer in the Royal Canadian Air Force. Upon release of the RCAF in 2020, Spike pursued his Masters of Divinity in church history at Liberty University and now serves as the director of NextGen ministry at Kingswood University, as the lead pastor at Uplands Baptist Church in Moncton, and volunteers as an apologist with Ratio Christi Canada.

Cody J. Guitard holds a Bachelor of Science in Biology from Crandall University, a Master of Arts in Apologetics (concentration in Scientific Apologetics) from Southern Evangelical Seminary, and a Master of Theological Studies from Tyndale University. He is currently pursuing a Ph.D. in Theological Studies through Columbia International University. He serves as the National Director for Ratio Christi Canada and the Chapter Director for Ratio Christi at Crandall University. He is also an Adjunct Speaker for Apologetics Canada, a student member of both the Evangelical Theological Society and Evangelical Philosophical Society, and a full member of the International Society of Christian Apologetics. He speaks and writes on a variety of issues related to the defence of the faith, including but not limited to Christian fideism, biblical apologetics, the resurrection of Jesus, and the science-faith dialogue. He's the author of the booklet No More Blind Faith: A Biblical Response to Christian Fideism (forthcoming).
