Easter is a time to reflect, to give thanks, to celebrate, and renew our commitment to God and his church. He adopted us into his family, and expects us to love, encourage and even rebuke one another! So let me offer you this question. Who can you invite to return to God's family or to join it this Easter? Your presence, and your invitation to someone else to join us, are cause for joy and open the door for someone to learn or remember that God has done it all for us!

In the midst of this season, I know many of you have been praying for our staff and I wanted to offer you the following updates:
Jennifer - Asked that I relay her thanks for the food and cards and encouragement that you all have been doing. Keep praying please!
Nick and Aimee - the following is a letter Aimee asked me to share from Nick and her updating you all.
Nick and I wanted to send you a quick update letting you all know how we are making out during this time of rest and recuperation.
This past week Nick has been dealing with Strep throat and most recently decided to share it with his wife. I know that in marriage you share everything, but given the option, I would have skipped out on this one. With that being said, we ask that you continue to pray for our health as we both tackle this cold/flu season.
The time that Nick has had off has been very beneficial to his health and our family. There are times during ministry where taking a break is the very remedy needed to help heal. We recognize there have been numerous rumours going around the community as to why Nick is off work and that some of these rumours have caused much concern. With that being said, we thought it would a good idea to put those rumours to rest by simply explaining why Pastor Nick is on a Stress Leave.
While working at HBC there have been some challenges that have made it quite stressful for Nick to do his job. Upon the recommendation of Nick’s doctor, it was decided for Nick to take a stress leave so that he could recuperate at home and regain some peace and clarity.
Thankfully Pastor Geoff has been able to support the process of Nick taking the time to recover from the stress and demands of ministry. We have been so thankful to know that our Church family and friends have been praying for us. Thank you to everyone who has reached out and to those who have dropped off meals.
We would like to ask for your continued prayers for our Church Leadership Team, our community, and our family. We are taking this time to prayerfully consider what God has planned for us, and we ask that you continue to pray for support and wisdom during this time. Thanks again, and our prayers and thoughts are with all of you.
Aimee and Pastor Nick
That's the update from both our staff who are out on sick leave, please continue to keep them in prayer!
And Happy Easter, remember, Christ is Risen!
