Purpose – The purpose of the contest is to solicit designs for a logo for the Church’s website (http://hillsboroughbaptist.org/).

Eligibility – The contest is open to everyone, except the Church’s website master and Judges.

Submissions – All submissions must follow these parameters.
a) The logo design should incorporate the words “Hillsborough Baptist Church” or “hillsboroughbaptist.org”.
b) The logo design is intended for use on the Church website.
c) The web printed size of the graphic portion should be no more than 113 pixels by 400 pixels cm oriented horizontally. The design should be clear and uncluttered when viewed at the intended size.
d) The logo design should be submitted in electronic format to the email address administrator@hillsboroughbaptist.org or to the Church office and in a graphics raster format such as (in order of preference): eps, png, gif, tif, etc. (Preferred submissions)
e) Logo designs may be submitted on paper so long as computer generate files are available.
f) The image should be submitted in colour, which compliments the website. If possible, a scalable graphics file should be included.
g) A short text explanation of the intent and features of the design consisting of no more than 200 words may be submitted with the graphic designs.
h) Your name, parents/guardians name and phone numbers are to be included with your logo design.
4. Prize – To Be Announced
The Church will make every reasonable effort to present the prize offered.
5. Intellectual property rights – the winning design submitted for this contest become the shared property of artist and Hillsborough Baptist Church. By submitting the design, the entrant warrants that the work is original and free of all copyright or other encumbrances that would prevent its use by the Church for any of the intended purposes. The Church offers no compensation for the use of the designs other than the prizes offered and credit on the church website.
6. Judging – The submissions will be reviewed by a judging panel selected by the webmaster of hillsboroughbaptist.org. The judging panel will be selected to avoid conflicts of interest. The decisions of the judges are final. The Church is not obligated to use the winning design and may alter them and use them in altered form.
7. Timing – The contest will be announced on January 24th 2010 at the Sunday morning worship service. Submissions must be made no later than 11:59 pm on Sunday, February 28th 2010. Judging will be completed and the winners announced in March 2010.
8. Privacy and Personal Data – Submissions are confidential until the completion of judging and until the announcement of the winner. Only the submission of the winner will be disclosed and published. The designs and all personal data of all other submissions will be kept confidential, other than announcing the total number of submissions received.
